The Lament of Medusa

30-minute oil painting demo with commentary. This painting was done as the cover for a comic book called Eternus. I wanted to paint Medusa, not as a violent monster, but as the victim of the actions of the Greek Gods. She is cursed to this life and violence comes to her.

In this video, I share the process of going from a sketch to color, reference, final composition, and then the final painting. It is done in oils.
